The new 25,000 square foot Perry Hall Library (County)

On March 23, Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith and area elected officials "cut the ribbon" at the Perry Hall Library - officially opening the new facility on Honeygo Boulevard. This new larger "green" building replaces the original 1963 Belair Road library. The modern structure is the first new library built in the County in 21 years.

Two New Permanent Electronics Recycling Sites (County)

As part of Earth Day celebrations, Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith today announced the expansion of the County's electronics recycling drop-off program during an event at the Eastern Sanitary Landfill Solid Waste Management Facility in White Marsh.

"One Plus One" Meeting, May 6th from 6 pm - 8 pm, Barclay Recreation Center,
29th and Barclay.

On May 6th,
Celeste Amato, Director of the Mayor's Cleaner Greener Baltimore
Initiative, will present the City's "One Plus One" trash and recycling proposal. The meeting will be held at the Barclay Recreation Center, 29th and Barlcay from 6 pm - 8 pm. The One Plus One proposal would change the schedule for?pick up of trash and recycling?to one trash pick up and one recycling pick up per week.

Shooting near 7200 McClean Blvd

The Baltimore Sun reports "Two shootings were reported in the city's Northeastern District Monday night, according to a Baltimore police spokeswoman."
